A new year so a new profile blurb.

I live in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, on the edge of the North Atlantic. I also sort-of live in Montreal, Quebec, though will not likely be returning there at least till the snows have abated...

I was born in the United Kingdom, so have an English accent, though British people usually ask me where I am from, by this point.

I am trying to focus of late on writing hubs on issues related to psychology (pop psychology, spiritual traditions, any school of thought that might lead to "enlightenment", or, at least, better control over our own minds), and world poverty, which I believe to be the most important issue facing us, by far -- far more than terrorism.
